I choose Canada because I found it interesting to tell it history.
Firstly it has not belong to the US, it is official language are English and French.
Two of it is tradition are:
Quebec Winter Carnival famous for his parade.
The Calgary Stampede, it is a annual rodeo and festival held every July in Calgary.
One of their costumes is to leave shoes at the door of the house.
Hockey is the most popular sport in Canada.
Famous actor like Jim Carrey and Mathew Perry are Canadians, and singers heard all over the world like Justin Bieber, Avril Lavigne and Celine Dion are also Canadians.

NY BY ISABEL

I choose NY because i think that is the most cosmopolitan city in the world. I would like to travel there for many reasons
The first one, i would travel to NY to learn english and to know other cultures
The second reason is their celebrations, for example thanksgiving day or halloween. In Spain we celebrate them but it’s not the same.
Finally, if you like the culture, you can visit hiscotric buildings like empire estate, rockefeller center or 9/11 memoriam. If you don’t like this places you can walk around central park or you can visit museums and theatres. Also if you are bored you can travel to a nearby village because all in NY is very interesting.
There are many famous people who has born there for example Woody Allen, singers like Marc Anthony, basketball players like Carmelo Anthony or Karim  Abdul Jabbad
I wish i travel to NY early and come back to Spain with a high english level

Brighton by Bea

Hi everybody!

My name is Bea and i'm going to talk about Brighton. I have chosen Brighton because it is the city where i lived for 3 years. I also used to live in Rome but their mother tongue is italian so i won’t talk about it.

I would really like you to get to know better this beautiful city, and in this sense i will make a presentations where I will talk about the following points:
  1. History
  2. What make it famous
  3. British cusine
  4. Brighton’s culture

First of all, I will show you where Brighton is. (point out on the map): Brighton is a small city in the south coast of England.

Brighton is a seaside resort, but in the past, it used to be an small fishing village in the country of east sussex. One thing that made it special was the wide range of markets you could find in it: fish markets, pork markets, and corn markets.

But, what made this city so famous?  What really made it so popular was that people used to think that the sea of brighton was the cure for illnesses, and you just could be healthy by bathing on the sea. That was so many years ago, but I would really like to share a curiosity about this: the king George IV was sick and decided to go to Brighton in order to get better bathing in the sea, we don’t know if rather he got better or not, but what we do know is that he totally fell in love with the city, and he ordered to build  a palace for him to live during the summers: the Royal Pavilion, which is one of the most popular cultural attractions of Brighton yet today.

Nowadays, Brighton is a very popular destination for tourists, renowned for its diverse, communities, large cultural, music, arts scene and its large LGBT population.

Now that we know something more about Brigton we are going to talk about it’s traditional food... England has a very rich culinary tradition, some of the most popular dishes of Brighton is the traditional full breakfast, the fish and ships, the sunday roast, and the cornish Pasties.
Besides the culinary culture, Britghton is  full of great culture; you can find a lot of festivals, museums, and theaters. Brighton is also full of street art, there are a lot of famous paintings like for example this one (two police kissing) by banksy, who is an street artist that was born in Bristol, you can find his works in Brighton, Bristol, London, etc, There are also a lot of musicstreet, that is something so typical there, it is so special to give a walk in the streets of Brighton listening live music, if you are going to visit Brighton you will see a lot of singers singing on the street and they are amazing. I know two of them (photo) She is Luan, she is actually spanish but she still living in Brighton, she is an amazing street artist And he is ++ and he has a band called the Big Push which is very popular there.
To sum up, Brighton is a very special city you should definitely visit in England, where everyday you will feel and live something different, full of culture and amazing art.

John Muir Trail by Mercedes

JOHN MUIR TRAIL in America’s National Park, USA. ¿How is the John Muir trail? In terms of sheer beauty, few hiking routes in the world can match California's John Muir Trail, which passes through parts of Yosemite, Kings Canyon, and Sequoia National Parks along its 211-mile/321 Km path. Normally, you can do in twelve days. Technically the route is not complicated, but the fact of developing in full self-sufficiency and most of the days above 3000m, reaching 4400m requires good physical, mental and high mountain knowledge, so be sure to be well prepared before setting out. Breathtaking vistas, crystal clear streams, and peaceful solitude are the norm here as backpackers find their way through the High Sierra Mountains. This is a truly remote, rugged, and challenging walk. ¿Who was John Muir? He was an American naturalist. He wrote more than 300 articles and 10 books, where he narrated his trips and explorations. He loved and defended the nature and wildlife and the preservation of large spaces.
