Bilbao is a city situated in the “País vasco”, in the north of Spain. This city was founded in 1300 and it is population is over 345.821 people and it is the capital and a historical territory of Vizcaya.
On the opposite of what is usually though, Bilbao is a beautiful and colorful place where you can do lots of things like visit the Guggenheim, go to the theater “Arraiga Antxokia”, walk through the old town city, called “the seven streets”, “Zazpikaleak” in Basque, or do hiking and see all the city from the mountain “Ganekogorta” as a result of being a city rounded by mountain ranges but please, take an umbrella before leave home, maybe you will appreciate it.
All in all, Bilbao it’s a beautiful city, maybe it is not for everyone, but I think that with umbrella and winter clothes it is an incredible city to visit.
