Rome, the capital of Italy and one of the most visited cities in the world, is located in the Lazio region, in central Italy, near the Tiber River. Rome is known for its history and amazing monuments.
Rome was the capital of the Roman Empire, and that is why nowadays it has a lot of monuments; one of these monuments is the Colosseum: an amphitheater that worked as an entertainment center, where gladiators contests where placed.
Besides, Rome is known for other things, like food: italian food is known worldwide, and that’s why a lot of tourists, when coming to Rome, decide to eat this type of food, like pasta, pizza, gelato...
These are only some reasons why you should visit Rome, but in my opinion, I think you shouldn’t think twice about coming to visit because this is a fantastic city!
